- Weibo Cai, PhD, was elected as a Member of Academia Europaea (MAE) in April 2026.
- Larry DeWerd, PhD, was recognized in America’s Top Professionals Spring 2026 issue for his excellence in medical physics and radiation research.
- Victor Santoro Fernandes, PhD, was awarded the Alavi-Mandell Award for his Journal of Nuclear Medicine abstract: Full-Body Tumor Response Heterogeneity of Metastatic Neuroendocrine Tumor Patients Undergoing Peptide Receptor Radiopharmaceutical Therapy.
- Laura Castañeda-Martínez was awarded the Alfonso Caso Medal from the National University of Mexico. The Alfonso Caso Medal is awarded to the most distinguished students that graduate from their program.
- Graduate student Grace Minesinger, was awarded the AAPM 2026 Round 2 Expanding Horizons Travel Grant.
- Graduate student Ruo-Yu Liu, was awarded the American College of Radiology’s Medical Physics Graduate Student Scholarship.
- Three graduate students, Aidan Tollefson, Jiayi Tang and Srijyotsna Volety received presentation awards at this year’s ISMRM conference. Tollefson received Summa Cum Laude. Tang and Volety received Magna Cum Laude awards.
- Congratulations to Likhitha Polepalli (1st), Isaiah Cook (2nd) and MJ Lindsey (3rd) for winning top awards at our annual student research poster showcase.
