Effort Reporting
Effort Reporting is our means of providing assurance to sponsors that:
- Salaries charged to sponsored projects are reasonable in relation to the work performed, and
- Faculty and staff have met their commitments to sponsored projects.
PI Financials
The PI Financials Tool is designed to allow faculty and researchers to better manage and track their sponsored projects.
WISER
WISER is the UW's new reporting system which pools data from SFS (the Shared Financial System) and HRS (the Human Resource System)
Administrative Tools
WISPER
Electronic routing system used to route grant, agreements, contracts, etc. to Research and Sponsored Programs (RSP) for review, negation, approval, and submission.
IRBs - ARROW
ARROW is an online workflow system used at the University of Wisconsin - Madison to review and track applications for research oversight pertaining to: human and animals subjects, stem cell research and biological safety.
RSP
The RSP website contains helpful information for everything from proposal preparation to award closeout.
This site also included helpful institutional information needed for agreement/contracts with non-UW agencies as well as links for frequently needed sites to complete tasks related research applications, funding, effort, etc.

RARC’s animal program assessment specialists are a key resource for investigators, helping them maintain compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and policies to ensure successful research projects. We help labs prepare for AAALAC visits, work with USDA inspectors, provide information and guidance on compliance with DEA regulations, and perform focused protocol reviews.
