Reminder: Badger Badge and Building Access Enforcement

After a few fals starts and soft rollouts, building access enforcement will officially begin Wednesday, February 10, 2021.

This means you must be in compliance with campus COVID-19 testing policy to enter a building on the main campus. Your Badger Badge screen on your Safer Badgers app MUST show a GREEN checkmark (access granted). A trained employee will check your Badge upon entering the building.

Plan ahead: allow at least 24 hours for your test to come back. Better still to get tested two days before your access is set to expire in the case of delayed results or a rejected test.

If your badge shows a red “X” (or will by Wednesday), get tested today (Feb. 8) or tomorrow (Feb. 9) at one of our campus testing sites.

All testing sites are drop-in; no appointment is needed. You can check your Safer Badgers app for wait times at each testing site for your convenience.

If you have a question, please check the FAQs. You can also email covidresponse@vc.wisc.edu or call the UW–Madison COVID-19 Assistance Line at (608) 262-7777. The line is staffed Mondays through Fridays from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
