Pharmacokinetic modeling in PET neuroimaging of nonhuman primates
Alexander K. Converse, PhD
Associate Scientist, Waisman Center, University of Wisconsin, Madison, WI - USA
Nonhuman primates serve as models for a variety of human neurological disorders and psychiatric conditions. Positron emission tomography (PET) permits noninvasive meas-urement of processes including hemodynamics, metabolism, and receptor binding. This talk will review some basic concepts in pharmacokinetic modeling and present examples of their application in PET neuroimaging of nonhuman primates.
