MR Guided RT (MRgRT) and on-board MRI

With the successful integration of Radiation therapy (RT) and MRI into a single treatment, system by different value of MRI in RT workflow has become increasingly more recognized in the past 10 years or so. However, access to this novel treatment system is still mainly limited to academic hospitals and large cancer centers. As MRgRT increasingly shows potential to be one of the mainstream treatment systems, it is highly desirable to disseminate the new knowledge gained by a current MRgRT user to a wider audience. In this talk, a general introduction of the concept of MRgRT and UCLA clinical MRgRT experience will be discussed. As well as this, some clinical developments using the onboard MRI will be shared.
