Services

Medical Physics faculty and staff offer a number of specialized services, through which laboratory apparatus, dedicated equipment, and special medical physics techniques are made available to campus researchers, researchers and specialists throughout the state of Wisconsin, and physicists and medical imagers in North America. Any fees that are charged offset the cost of operating and maintaining the facility.

University of Wisconsin Medical Radiation Research Center

The University of Wisconsin Medical Radiation Research Center provides calibration services for ionizing radiation measurement instrumentation available in the medical or health physics community.

Cyclotron

The Cyclotron Group provides radionuclides to colleagues on and off campus. For the last decade, they have distributed radionuclides nationally.

Sonography

Working together, this group fosters an integrated ultrasound research program that is multidisciplinary in dimension and international in scope. The pillars of the program are acoustic theory, innovative development and clinical implementation.

Small Animal Imaging and Radiotherapy Facility

Dedicated to providing innovative, state-of-the-art, affordable, noninvasive, high-resolution, in-vivo and ex-vivo imaging and radiotherapy support to UWCCC investigators, University of Wisconsin researchers, and industry.

Machine Shop

The Department of Medical Physics Machine Shop is a service design and fabrication shop staffed with experienced craftsmen and machinery.
