Lake View Elementary School Bash

Lake View Elementary School hosted a back to school bash inviting some UW science departments to participate with fun hands-on activities. As medical physics, we brought a geiger counter, a portable ultrasound system, and MR images. UW was also represented by Space Place, the Wisconsin Energy Institute, and the Geology Collection. The students enjoyed learning about radiation, guessing the body part shown in the MR images, and looking inside our gummy bear phantom with the ultrasound! Thank you to Robert Moskwa and Dan Bushe for their help with this event.
